take the tour…

Exhibition Invite Banner (2).jpg

The 2021 VAA International Art Exhibition has launched. Online.

Now my navigation skills in these virtual galleries is not going to get me a virtual-gallery-driving-license any day soon.
Maybe you will have more luck, if you head to the Artsteps website that is hosting the exhibition.
My submission is in the ‘Under £500’ room…round the corner….left a bit, right a bit, far right hand corner.

But if you want to take a shortcut and let me do the driving (disclaimer : don’t tell me I didn’t warn you), then click on the image below to head to a quick Insta reels tour.
Excuse the comedy Benny Hill music, I couldn’t resist!

And for those who might suffer motion sickness faced with me lurching my way around a gallery like I have had too many glasses of the PV cheap wine…here are some stills….

Or to cut straight to the painting, then here it is….

REBECCA TUCKER_White Lines Series-Water 2020_305x305mm_acrylic on cradled board £200.jpg

"WHITE LINES SERIES - WATER" 2020
£200 framed, white stained wood tray frame
305x305mm unframed, 335x335mm framed
(12"x12" unframed, 13 2/8" x 13 2/8" framed)
Acrylic on 20mm deep cradled board

A painting produced as part of a series combining painting and the drawn line, taking a visual reference and reducing it down to abstraction and pattern. This piece takes the line between abstraction and referential right down towards the abstract end of the spectrum. I like to pull and push between the two extremes, always bringing the viewer back to the enjoyment of looking at paint on a surface.
